ENDECS - Encryption/Decryption System
What is Cryptography? Cryptography is
the study of hidden writing, or the science of encrypting and
decrypt-ing text. The original data content of the file will
be converted into meaningless text with a specific
algorithm.
What is ENDECS? Data Encryption/Decryption System is a
software application designed to enable
users to transfer data securely between one
computer and another. The binding and analysis features of
Data Encryption System allow the
document recipient to check the
document for modifications and ensure
secure document management. This
application runs on a standard Windows based
desktop computer and has a
user-friendly interface with a single click operation.
How ENDECS can protect your
data? When a file is encrypted using
ENDECS a signature is bound to the
document using a cryptographic hashing algorithm. The
system uses Symmetric Key Encryption System. The File
is encrypted using a Private session
Key, which can be decrypted, only by using the same Key,
with which it is encrypted. The Document
carries the Message Digest information which in
turn is encrypted using the 128bit encryption algorithm to
prevent tampering. The encrypted file, on
decryption the system will recalculate the digest and
verified against the stored one. The
system will reject the decryption request if
the file authentication fails, thereby preventing the access of
original data by unauthorized user. Also, the
encrypt-digest can only be validated within
the original document it was bound to using this
product.
